Best Paper Competition & Awards

  • Xiande Zhao Best Paper Award, one winner, USD500 (RMB3000) - donated by Prof. Xiande Zhao.

  • ASCOM Outstanding Paper Award, three winners, USD150 (RMB1000) - note: Only full papers will be considered for the best paper competition and awards.


For academics interested in publications, we are planning for a special issue within a highly ranked journal and a book with a credible publisher for excellent full papers presented in the conference.  A committee will be established to make recommendations of papers for review and evaluation in these publications, as well as for best paper awards.  More information will be announced as we further develop these plans.

  • Paper submission Instructions

    Authors should submit your work (full paper or extended abstract) by email to the following email address: (and copy to:

    Full-paper structure and format:

    1. Article Length: Articles will normally not exceed 10,000 words. This includes the structured abstract, full text, figures, tables, references and appendices.

    2. Full paper should include: Article title, Author details (on a separate file), Structured abstract (Purpose, Design/ methodology/approach, Findings, Originality/value, Maximum is 250 words in total), keywords (Maximum is 6 keywords), Main text, Figures (if applicable), Tables (if applicable), and References.

    3. Format: Article files should be provided in Microsoft Word format, specifying Track, Title, and Authors (on a separate file).



    (less than 1000 words)

    1. Purpose: Theoretical background, managerial problem and research questions, objectives and/or hypotheses.

    2. Design/methodology/approach: How are the objectives achieved? Describe the main data and data sources as well as methods of data collection, analysis and validation.

    3. Findings: Presentation and discussion of achieved or expected results.

    4. Relevance/contribution: Highlight achieved or expected contribution to the theory, practice, methodology or teaching of SCM and OM.

    5. Format: Abstract files should be provided in Microsoft Word format, specifying Track, Title, and Authors.
